What is Onslaught™? Onslaught is an non historical, strategic level wargame based on a 1950ish army. One or two people can play, on a single Mac or networked. Onslaught ships as a “fat binary” application for both 68k and Power Macintosh™. Onslaught is designed to be a fun and engaging wargame that offers simplicity of use married with lots of game "meat". Onslaught is not a "my unit is bigger than yours, I win" kind of game. Each unit behaves differently depending on type, terrain, its experience and condition, and its overall size. You must use both military and management strategies to beat your opponent. Check out the demo and see for yourself. Who Makes Onslaught? Onslaught is the first release from Frontal Assaultware, Inc., a small company started up two years ago. FAI's mission is to bring state of the art wargaming to Macintosh™ users. If all goes well with Onslaught, you'll be seeing allot more of Frontal Assaultware. Does This Doc Explain Everything? No. The Demo Instructions are a shortened version of Onslaught's manual. This doc was kept small in order to give a general overview without the going into great depth. The full version of Onslaught comes with a color Quick Reference Card and an indexed, cross referenced, illustrated manual that explains (in more detail than this doc) all you need to know. The Demo vs. The Real Thing The demo has all the features of the full version of Onslaught with the following exceptions: 1. Play time is limited to 12 turn. 2. You can't use the save or autosave functions. 3. Speech is disabled. 4. Networking between a PPC and a 68k does not work. Where To Get The Full Version Onslaught can be ordered directly from Frontal Assaultware, Inc. by calling 800-442-2805. Onslaught is also available through Mac Warehouse, Mac Zone, and various retail outlets. What You Need To Run Onslaught Full color and B&W installation requires 5MB of hard disk space or a little over 3MB for the color version only.
